Last year we talked candy cane bath salts, but this year I’ve had a different winter recipe up my sleeve. Year on year bath salts prove to be a winning gift. They’re a great way to reuse old containers, a great gift for minimalists as they can be used up, and they’re good for our health! Epsom salts in a bath can aid muscle tension, pain, joint inflammation, headaches, abdominal cramps, sore feet and more. For such a small thing, they’re wonderful! At the same time ginger and cinnamon, whilst of course being fairly iconic winter spices, can also be great for skin. Together they can tackle dry skin, blemishes, cellulite and ageing affects. So why not combine the two?
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Epsom salt
- 1 cup of sea salt
- 1 cup Himalayan rock salt (optional – you can use all sea salt)
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- vanilla pod
Instructions
- In a bowl mix together the Epsom salt, sea salt, rock salt, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon
- Using scissors, cut a piece of vanilla pod and scrape out the insides, add and mix all ingredients together thoroughly
- Decant into container of your choice
And behold, you have a gift containing festive cheer, health and beauty benefits, and a perfect excuse for relaxation. Dreamy.
Until tomorrow, stay magic y’all.
