And like that it’s December again, 2017 has flown by so fast. Last year was my first Christmas/holiday season on the blog, and I tried out a little series called Ethical Advent. Each day from December 1st – December 24th a new post went online with an ethical gift alternative you could buy or make. After I wrote on the benefits of embracing craft this winter a couple of months ago, the consensus was that it should make a return this year. So here we are!

Like last year I will be featuring some things that you can buy (today’s post is one of these), but there’s an overall larger emphasis on doing it yourself, so get prepared to get crafty!

This actually isn’t the first time I’ve written about BYBI. I’ve loved their non-toxic, natural beauty solutions since their first products, babe balm and prime time, hit the shelves. Fast forward a couple of months and these clean beauty babes dropped three products simultaneously; a perfect trio designed to care for your skin and keep it glowing, no matter the weather. All natural, vegan and cruelty free of course. So what is this little trio?

The first, Detox Dust is a powder face mask designed specifically to fight pollution‘s effects on skin. It contains activated charcoal, papaya enzymes and kaolin clay to flush out toxins and impurities, alongside vitamin rich ginseng, lotus and blackcurrant extract to calm and brighten skin. To use, mix a teaspoon with a few drops of water to form a paste, leave for 10-15 minutes before removing with warm water and a cloth. Easy!

Mega Mist is a hyaluronic acid toner facial mist (don’t freak out at the word acid – more info on this here) to help rehydrate, rejuvenate and refresh skin. the hyaluronic acid plumps and softens, while rose, orange blossom and pomegranate help lock in all day moisture for dry and sensitive skin.

The final product, Supercharge Serum is a corrective serum for lack-lustre and uneven skin. It’s a highly concentrated, nutrient rich treatment packed with squalane, prickly pear, jasmine and watermelon seed oils that deeply penetrates skin to promote rapid cell renewal. All it takes is a few drops warmed gently in the palm of the hand, then massaged onto the face and neck, to work that skincare magic.

This lil trio may be small in size, but they pack a punch. If that punch was filled with high quality nourishing ingredients and skin protection that is. All of BYBI’s products to date seem to be designed using the ‘a little goes a long way’ ethos, meaning that while the bottles are small, they will last a looong time. These skincare treats are perfect as stocking stuffers, as they work great solo, or you can buy all three and give them as a special Christmas bundle gift.

Until tomorrow, stay magic y’all.
